I had to consult the owners' manual to figure out how to open the fuel flap on my Mrs' golf gti (you have to turn the key twice in the passengers' side door lock for those unaccustomed to the dubs)

the clusters are very easy to pull apart, just put a small mark on the fuel gage, indicating the side the flap is on.
It could be a dot on the left side for the wags and a dot on the right side for the sedan, or a triangle with its point towards the side of the car.
so long as its not 'out there' it'll look stock.

i think ill just suck it up and deal with it, its not like its a big problem, just annoying sometimes and i wouldnt think to look at the cluster to remind me, as i dont trust the fuel gauge anyway..

Easy fixed, I made these decals so you can put one on the inside of each front door, see at a glance which side the fuel filler hole is on.

Reminds me of some woman I saw at the servo a few weeks back. Comes over and asks do you know how I work this? Slightly confused, I replied work what? She goes never mind, and went into the servo to speak to the guy behind the counter. Comes back out a minute later, grabs fuel hose and drags it round to the other side of the car.

lol

i like it when u pull into a servo, and there is a line on one particular side of pump....pussies i say, then bypass them all and go straight to a empty pump,

it is like ppl would get embrassed if the hose wont reach the other side....or maybe their parking skills are not good enough....god help us all! these ppl should not be on the road

cheers
