Manifold Vacumme ?Gauge?
saw a TF gem this afternoon that had a Manifold vaccume pressure gauge?? (measures in mmHg) instead of the clock/tacho(it was the same size as the tacho/clock) is it aftermarket cause it was a really really neat job if it was or did some come with it???
probs a noob question haha but it looked to neat to be an aftermaket job
Cheers

haha im kinda in a grey area when it comes to tf tg ive only ever owned TE and earlier with the oldschool dashes. you should make an exchange and save the mint seats! its hard to find some that aint torn these days!

I have one in my TF also. They had them in the later gems. It was to conserve fuel economy. The band goes around from white/yellow/red. White as in good economy. Yellow ok economy. And red is heavy acceleration. The owners manual reccomends to keep it in the yellow zone to achieve the best possible fuel economy.

Keep in mind that a dash vac gauge is not the same as a diagnostic one - dash gauges are usually damped.
Whilst they are great for diagnostics, I always thought they were an annoying waste of space on the dash - I think even a clock was preferable!
But google to find links like http://autospeed.com/cms/title_Using-a- ... ticle.html, http://moodle.student.cnwl.ac.uk/moodle ... gauge.html, http://www.junkyardgenius.com/tools/vacgauge.html.
